Worried about finding work after completing your course? At TEFL Abroad we care about our graduates and help you find the best job possible.

The most important part of getting TEFL qualified is finding a job when it’s all over. We help you throughout the course and beyond to develop a foundation to be successful in the TEFL job market.

Our career services include:

CV writing & interview preparation

During the course we provide input sessions specifically designed to help you in these areas. The input sessions provide you with information and tips about finding employment in your preferred area.

Teaching practice

Throughout the course you will be required to participate in observed teaching practice, which will give you invaluable experience when contacting potential employers.

Accredited Certificate

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded with a certificate from Trinity College that will give you the upper hand when searching for a position in Spain, Italy and worldwide.

Letter of recommendation and referees

At the end of the TEFL course you will be presented with an official letter of recommendation. And, of course, we will act as referees for you!

Exclusive job offers

TEFL in Spain and TEFL in Italy is contacted on a regular basis for job offers targeted at our graduates. We collaborate with these local language schools and help you find a job by putting you in contact with them. These offers are shared by e-mail and in our closed Graduates Facebook Group.

Other job vacancies

We will give you various resources including access to our database of local schools to make your job search more efficient. Following us on Facebook and Twitter will also provide you with an excellent source of job vacancies.

Skills development

Continuing education is important in teaching which is why we offer a great variety of teacher development courses throughout the year including Teaching Exam Classes, Grammar, Young Learners and Business English classes. We also offer Spanish classes  or Italian classes for those who are interested in brushing up on their language skills.

How easy is it to find a job?

There is currently a massive demand for English teachers in the South of Spain. Since the economic crisis began we have seen more and more Spaniards taking English classes to improve their employment prospects. There are many opportunities for English teachers through language schools, private schools, summer camps and private classes. Our teacher training centre offer extensive employment connections all over the world, throughout Spain and especially in Andalusia. We offer a free lifelong careers service to all our graduates.

 Is it expensive to live in the South of Spain?

  • If you rent a room you can expect to pay between €350 and €450 a month.
  • If you eat at home then expect to spend about €150 a month on food.
  • The rest would depend on what your lifestyle is like.Here’s some useful information about prices:

Cinema — about €7,50

Nightclubs — about €10 entrance fee with drink included

Beer at a normal bar — €1,20

Eating at a restaurant ordering “menu del día” — €8 – €12

Living and working in Italy

How easy is it to find a job?

There´s is a big demand for English teachers in Italy. Compared to other European countries, the level of English here is quite low, so Italians need to improve their English in order to find a good job in Italy or abroad. This means there are plenty of  TEFL jobs in Italy! Our teacher training centre offer extensive employment connections all over the world and throughout Italy. We offer a free lifelong careers service to all our graduates.

Is it expensive to live in Rome?

  • If you rent a room you can expect to pay between €450 and €700 a month.
  • If you eat at home then expect to spend about €200 a month on food.
  • The rest would depend on what your lifestyle is like.Here’s some useful information about prices:

Nightclubs — about €10 entrance fee (with drink included during week)

Beer at a normal bar — €3

Eating at a restaurant ordering “set lunchtime menu” — €10 – €15
